My fic is all located here! (I'm writing a fic a day for 2008. Come watch my brain explode!)
I love making new friends! There's no need to ask to friend me, but I would appreciate it if you at least introduced yourself over at the shiny Friends Only post. I don't bite! (I know how it is: there are at least five people I keep meaning to work up the courage to friend. Hee!)
Friending me means you'll get rambles about the weather (my research specialty is hail), cheerful babbling about fannish things (usually Sherlock Holmes or Doctor Who), and more fanfiction than you can shake a stick at. I don't take myself too seriously, as a general rule: I'm an extremely happy person.
If you've friended me for my Doctor Who fanfic, keep in mind that I won't limit myself to a single pairing/character! So far I've written in all ten Doctors' eras (and beyond, into the realm of novel!fic and audio!fic) and have loved every minute of it. I dislike the notion of OTPs in general, and tend to write gen-fic to avoid ship wars and other awkwardness, but I really don't mind whether you interpret the borderline cases as shippy or not. It's the reader's prerogative, after all!
(I don't lose interest in unfinished fic so much as get waylaid by balaclava-clad ficathons who steal my lunch money. And spare time. Rest assured, if it's been posted here, it will be finished as some point.)
The varied nature of my fanfic means that awesome people from all different corners of Who fandom have wound up on my flist - and everyone seems to get along all right. It's Doctor Who! It's fun, and even if you don't love them all, chances are you've got a faction around here that agrees with you. Discussion is good! Bashing is not.
I'm currently about three-quarters through Classic Who (with plenty of jumping about), and am eagerly awaiting series four of New Who!
(I co-mod legsofscience, the Liz Shaw community. Even folks who haven't seen Classic Who are invited over to our little corner of the internet for snacks and an introduction to series seven! It's a good time.)
I'm always up for fannish chat (from obscure chronological quibbles to mindless squee) on AIM. Nonfannish stuff, too, if you can stand that many Fun Facts about the weather.
Real-life type stuff: On the second-last year of a degree in atmospheric science; bibliophile, music nerd (classical and otherwise), science geek, fencer, full-time nerd. Proud of all of the above.
